May 20, 2026
Koothali Grama Panchayat has taken an initiative to provide free tea through a tea vending machine to people visiting the Panchayat for various purposes.
The vending machine is being donated in memory of Sri. P. V. K. Nambiar, who served as the President of the Koothali Panchayat (with Chakkittappara as its headquarters) in 1964, and later became the first President of Koothali Panchayat when the Koothali–Chakkittappara Panchayat was bifurcated in 1971.
The vending machine, donated by the family of Sri. P. V. K. Nambiar to provide free tea to the general public in his memory, was received on behalf of Koothali Grama Panchayat by the Hon'ble President, Sri. Thandora Ummar.
